Plymouth - Conference 2013

We felt that in the interests of research we should visit the Barbican – lovely atmosphere – craft shops and of course the harbour and Tourist Information.     Once again everyone was so friendly and helpful.    We managed to squeeze in some lunch in one of the many cafes and then by bus back to the Hoe and a trip on the big wheel!         We also managed a visit to the Plymouth Gin Distillery and had a meal in the Tanners Restaurant which was superb – cleaned out the “kitty” but was worth it!

The journey to Plymouth took approximately 5 hours with a helpful stop at my daughter’s in Bristol for lunch.   We had two nights in the Quality Inn and one very busy day and came back full of enthusiasm and ideas.   Plymouth  is a delightful city – very friendly, lots to see and do, plenty of shopping outlets and very easy to get around.   It is a new venue for Inner Wheel conferences but exciting and should prove very popular.      We are assembling details and prices of hotels for you – and would hope to organise coaches from District 7.    If you have never been to a Conference then give this one a go – it should be good fun – lots of opportunities to encourage Inner Wheel friendships and a new and comfortable venue.
