July 2018

Handover night.

A memorable occasion at the beginning of our IW year is always our Handover night when this year President Sheila handed over to our new President  Lydia

Lidia was welcomed by Rotarian President Geoff Dawson who said that he hoped both clubs would continue to work together.  Lidia has been President of the Club  before , so is  feeling a little more  confident in her new role than she did  first time round! and already has lots of ideas for a fun year.

July 2018

We held our annual tea party in one of our Members gardens. The weather was perfect maybe a little too hot for some - particularly those in the kitchen.

We all enjoyed scones with lashings of jam and cream followed by cakes, which were all baked by our members. (The diets started the next day!!. ) We were very grateful to our friends from other Clubs who supported us by spending money at our' Bring and Buy stall and plant stall ' and raising a good amount for our International fund. Many thanks to Barbara Rodgers our District Chairman for attending. Overall we raised a considerable amount of money for our International fund.
