About the club:

The Inner Wheel Club of Ashby de la Zouch was formed in 1967, originally for the friendship and mutual support of the wives of Rotarians. Inner Wheel soon grew to incorporate service in the wider community and is now the largest women's service organisation in the country. The Ashby club is proud to be a part of this. Membership categories have also expanded in recent times, first to include the wider families of Rotarians and now to any woman who espouses the ideals for which Inner Wheel stands. Our own club has been happy to welcome two women to our number who have no Rotary connection.

From August 2019, we meet once a month for a lovely meal at Hollbush Inn, Breedon on the Hill followed by our meeting and socialising, often entertained by a speaker.
In addition we have about eight social, fundraising and service (often combined!) events each year. Responsibility for organising these is shared by everyone through each member being on one of four committees taking two events each. This way, we hope all members will feel to be an integral part of their club.

If you are inspired to visit us at one of our meetings to see if you like what you find there, please ring  Patricia on 01530 415041,
Ashby-de-la-Zouch has a fictional connection with Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe.  Before writing the book he visited Ashby and set the Tournament on the outskirts of the town in what is now known as Tournament Field
