July 2018

Handover night.

A memorable occasion at the beginning of our IW year is always our Handover night when this year President Sheila handed over to our new President  Lydia

Lidia was welcomed by Rotarian President Geoff Dawson who said that he hoped both clubs would continue to work together.  Lidia has been President of the Club  before , so is  feeling a little more  confident in her new role than she did  first time round! and already has lots of ideas for a fun year.

July 2018

We held our annual tea party in one of our Members gardens. The weather was perfect maybe a little too hot for some - particularly those in the kitchen.

We all enjoyed scones with lashings of jam and cream followed by cakes, which were all baked by our members. (The diets started the next day!!. ) We were very grateful to our friends from other Clubs who supported us by spending money at our' Bring and Buy stall and plant stall ' and raising a good amount for our International fund. Many thanks to Barbara Rodgers our District Chairman for attending. Overall we raised a considerable amount of money for our International fund

Inner Wheel games  October 2018

Well we tried , and we tried very hard , but in the end Wellingborough Hatton  beat us by 2 games, so we were not too disappointed with our performance. Congratulations Hatton, and we wish you all the best for the rest of your games. Thank you for a lovely evening

March 2019
We all began to emerge from our winter hibernation  and started to think of long hot days of summer , and where better to start than an Ice Cream Parlour. So off we went to Gallone's Ice Cream parlour in Northampton where we were treated to a lovely evening hearing about how the Ice Cream was made and of course what it tasted like mmm.......... Later we all went home with our boxes of ice cream that we could not possibly not buy.!!

April 2019

This is the time of year when we try to give something to the local community and  our tradition over the past few years has been to provide food and entertainment for people attending a club in Kettering. Members provided the mountains of food that we all managed to consume and the entertainment was provided by the

U3A Ukulele band
